Q. NEW! What is the new email program on the home page about?
A. BRgaragesales.com now emails garage sale listings to our database of shoppers each Thursday afternoon. This is another great tool we offer listers - at no additional charge - to help "spread the word" of their upcoming garage sale!
Q. How do I search for garage sales?
A. From the home page, select the area(s) you would like to shop. You then have the option to search for specific items in those areas. Then, click SEARCH to see your results.
Q. What if I don't know the areas of town?
A. An area map is provided for your convenience and is located on the menu bar at the top of the page.
Q. How do I find the location of the garage sale?
A. From the search results page, click the Map icon and it will map your location.
Q. Can I get driving directions from sale to sale?
A. Yes! The addresses from your Favorite's list can be sent to Google Maps, providing driving directions from point to point. You also have the option of entering a separate starting address such as your home or office!
Q. How do I email listings to friends and family?
A. Emailing can be done from the Search Results page or from your Favorites. Click the EMAIL icon and fill in the required information to send the garage sale listing to your recipient. Included in the email will be your name, the listing information, and a hotlink back to BRgaragesales.com for greater details.
Q. Can I print a list of the garage sales that interest me?
A. Yes, a printer-friendly list of all of the garage sales in your Favorites section can easily be printed out for your convenience. You can also get the information in Google Maps in a printer-friendly format!
Q. What are the listings on the home page?
A. These are Featured Listings, an option by the lister to appear on the home page to increase advertisement of her garage sale. You can click on any of these listings to get map information.
Q. I want to list my garage sale. Where do I start?
A. Click on the Submit Ad link at the top of any page within the site. Once you have entered the required information on your garage sale, your listing will be immediately uploaded to our database and will appear the Monday prior to the beginning of your sale.
Q. How do I upload photos?
A. While submitting your ad, you will have the opportunity to browse your computer for photos you want to include with your listing. You can upload up to 6 photos per listing at no charge.
Q. How many days will my garage sale appear on the site?
A. Your listing will appear on the Monday prior to the beginning of your garage sale and will be accessible through Sunday. If you list later than Monday, it will appear immediately.
